I went on a tour of ABC 13 and had TONS of fun!
Gary took me because his work does the air conditioning there.
There were some tiger scouts about age 7 and their moms with us.
Gary told the tour lady that I wanted to be a photographer so we saw the
Photography guy and got to see all the kool spy gadgets!
The photography guy told me to take journalism and video technology
and work in the school newspaper or yearbook and to be an intern.
He also let me hold the camera he uses; it was over $3000 and over 30 lbs!!!
At the end the tour lady told me to apply for an internship my
Junior year of collage. Sounds kool, but a long way away!
We got to go in the control room when they were ON AIR, ITS SO KOOL!
We also got to sit in the room while the news people were ON AIR!
Did you know the weather guy is the only one that doesnít have a script,
and that map behind him isnít a computer screen, itís a green screen, lime green.
When I was there I realized how many people behind the camera do all the work, yet
we all know the ones who read other peoples stories and look good.
I feel sorry for the hard workers!
Here are some pics...Sorry that some are a little pixelly
Because I had to lighten them (I couldnít always use flash)
